JEC Europe - The major global composites event

Location: Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles, Paris, France | Duration: 3 days

JEC Europe

The LOCOMACHS project will participate in the 50th session of JEC Europe Composites Show and Conferences, in Paris on the 10-12th March 2015. JEC is the largest composites industry organization in Europe and in the world with a network of 250,000 professionals from 100 different countries. The annual show in Paris is a major global composite event.

A LOCOMACHS booth at the JEC composite show

The LOCOMACHS project focus on the manufacture and assembly of composite and hybrid aircraft structures. It’s a collaborative research and development project coordinated by SAAB AB, gathering 31 partners including the European key players in the aircraft industry.
Representatives of LOCOMACHS partners involved in design, production and assembly of composites and composite structures will be present in the LOCOMACHS booth during the JEC show, to present and discuss their work. A complete picture of most technologies developed within the project will be presented in the stand by different means. For example, a composite wing rib produced by DLR will be exhibited, together with an accompanying video showing the different steps of its manufacturing. LOCOMACHS partner SONAXIS will perform live demonstrations of ultrasound probes for air-coupled ultrasonic testing through-out the event.

LOCOMACHS is co-hosting the Aeronautics session of the JEC conference series

LOCOMACHS will co-host the Aeronautics session on the 11th March, 10:00-13:00, that will be chaired by Maria Weiland (SAAB AB), the project coordinator. Five of LOCOMACHS partners will present their work as follows:

  • Kevin Peters (GKN Aerospace): Integrated component design to support low cost assembly methodologies
  • Markus Kleineberg (DLR German Aerospace Center): Fully controlled production environment for autoclave injection processes
  • Hugo Falgarone (Airbus Group Innovations): Composite structural assembly simulation with geometrical variations
  • Mathilda Karlsson Hagnell (Royal Institute of Technology, KTH): Cost and weight modelling of composite structures within Aeronautical applications
  • Hervé Tretout (Dassault Aviation): Novel and lean NDI/NDT technologies for composite materials and structures

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to meet the LOCOMACHS partners and get updates on the technologies developed by the consortium!
